Discussion on the development of the advertising sector

An open discussion on developments in the advertising sector was held under the theme "innovations and challenges in the advertising market.

The event covered contemporary challenges, business activities, and opportunities in the advertising industry.

On July 22, with the support of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA), the State Advertising Agency of Azerbaijan (ADRA), and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan, as well as the organizational support of the Public Council under KOBİA, a public discussion on the topic "Innovations and Challenges in the Advertising Market" was held. 

The event was attended by representatives of relevant government agencies, as well as about 80 representatives from business associations and advertising companies.

Farhad Karashov, Chairman of the KOBİA Public Council, noted that the purpose of the event was to discuss the business environment, existing opportunities, and prospects for the advertising industry, and to jointly address issues in this field on the platform of government and business cooperation.

The Chairman of the Board of the State Advertising Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Farhad Adigezalov, emphasized that one of the main goals is to ensure the accessibility of the services provided by the agency for entrepreneurs and to achieve citizen satisfaction. It was also noted that entrepreneurs must comply with the relevant rules when placing advertisements in open spaces. The replacement of advertising structures with modern types of media should not only add an aesthetic touch to the appearance of the placed areas and buildings but also ensure the preservation of the unique historical appearance of cities and towns, as well as the national color. To ensure cybersecurity, the issue of centralized management of the content of advertisements placed on advertising monitors in the country is relevant.

The Chairman of KOBİA, Orkhan Mammadov, noted that in the past, ignoring the Advertising Law often led to fines, which disappointed entrepreneurs. However, recent observations have shown that entrepreneurs are becoming more aware of advertising, payments, rules, and procedures. Therefore, it is important to continue inter-agency cooperation and educational activities. The Chairman of KOBİA also noted that the application of privileges and incentives for SMBs regarding  placement of advertisements could encourage those operating in this field or launching a new business. 

The event discussed the current situation in the advertising market, the placement of advertising in open spaces, the challenges faced by business entities in the advertising field, listened to their opinions and suggestions, and answered their questions.
